AVICRES has a shelter for girls in Shangrillá Rosa, in Belford Roxo, called The House of Hope. The shelter works with around 20 girls, from new-borns to the age of 14, but these girls are allowed to stay until they are 18.

In this shelter the girls have all their meals, they are given clothes and medicines they may need. Medical, odontological, and psychological treaments are also offered. And, in this shelter, the girls also receive profissional training so that when they leave the shelter they can go on with their lives. Many of the teenagers that left the shelter have worked or are currently working for AVICRES.

The shelter House of Hope started the nursery in 2010.
