Sítio Pequeno Lavrador is located at Avenida Mutirão, 1455 – Campo Alegre – Nova Iguaçu, and has been there for over 20 years. AVICRES takes care and helps the children of this community to develop socially, personally and intelectually so that they may have more dignity and opportunity to improve their living conditions which are, most of the time, unfair and precarious.
It is open from monday to friday, 11:00h – 17:00h, and offers two meals for the children and teenagers of the project from the age of 5 to the age of 14? This project offers school support, and helps the children and teenagers not only to evolve at school but also to recover and appreciate the cultivation of the earth and the agriculture. Once a week they have lessons of physical education, theatre and organic horticulture.

Organic Agriculture
In this project, AVICRES, develops a work with organic agriculture, apiculture and animal breeding. The objective of this work is to stimulate healthy eating habits in all the children and teenagers of the community, as well as the preservation of the environment.
